In the present times due to the extensive use of computer application in daily official work, it has become imperative for the officials to be trained in use of computers. To cater to this requirement the academy has developed well equipped computer labs apart from the other training resources, which are engaged in providing quality computer education to the govt. officials & others. |
| Resources Available in the Computer Cell |

The Academy is equipped with two ultra modern computer labs to impart training in computer application. One lab is equipped with twenty and the second lab is equipped with ten computers respectively. These computers are of latest Pentium IV configurations. Both the labs are also equipped with accessories like Laser & DeskJet printers, scanner, Multimedia etc. All the computers are connected through Wi-Fi WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) dedicated Server and for internet access Leased Line & BSNL Broad Band has been provided, which facilitates high-speed instant internet access.
Apart from these resources to make the training programmes more effective, equipment like LCD Projectors, Multi Media and Audio Visual Aids, OHPs etc. are used. While using these resources in training the emphasis is also laid on practicals along with theory classes. |

Important activities of the cell:
The main objective of the cell is to develop the Academy in the field of Information Technology and E-Governance as per the current policy plans of the state government and also provide training to Govt./Non-Govt. officials through training programs. |

During the mandatory training programs of the Academy i.e. foundation & professional training program for IAS, PCS, UPPWD & other state services, the Academy regularly conducts computer training classes for probationers. |

The nominated candidates from different departments are imparted computer training, sponsored by DOPT, Govt. of India. |
|
The academy also organizes various training programs for computer applications and on use of application soft wares used by different Govt. departments. |
