Foundation Course for Assistant Engineers

 

The Academy organized a one month foundation programme for Assistant Engineers of Vidut Utpadan Nigam 2008-2009 batches. The programme made the participants aware of aware of the specific needs of the State Power Corporation, and equipped them with requisite managerial skillsThe third batch of this programme is going on.

State level First Workshop-cum-Training on ' Coping with the Disaster of Climate Change'

 

Coping with the Disaster of Climate Change, an interactive workshop attracted 47 participants from a wide spectrum of backgrounds drawn from various State & Central Government organizations alongwith research scholars & faculties from Lucknow University. Sixteen resource persons of national and international repute shared eighteen technical sessions on the various aspects of the disasters anticipated to be manifested due of Climate Change. One session was devoted to report writing by the participants. The renowned resource persons included Shri Rajendra Singh, Waterman of India & Magasaysay Award Winner, Dr. Ashok Sahani from the Birbal Sahni Institute, Dr. Akhilesh Gupta, nodal officer for the National Mission on Strategic Knowledge in the Dept. of Science & Technology, GoI, Dr. S Mukhrjee, Director, G.S.I., Faridabad, Shri Deepak Srivastava, D.G. (Retd.), G.S.I., Dehradoon and other experts who have contributed nationally and internationally to the study of Climate Change phenomenon.
